"A person having diabetes can lead a normal or near normal life, if he is careful about all aspects of management of diabetes including diet, exercise and medication. However, diabetes is a life-long disease and hence requires life-long commitment from persons with diabetes. We at Talwalkar’s diabetes clinic are focused at providing comprehensive care to diabetic patients, which goes far beyond issuing prescriptions of anti diabetic medications. Dr. Joslin, a pioneer American diabetologist had said: “The diabetic who knows most, will live the longest.” Thus at Talwalkar Clinic, over focus has always been on educating the diabetic patient to make him well informed and active participant in his healthcare management decisions.
